Om yoga, also referred to as Pranava yoga and Aum yoga, is considered one of the best forms of meditation by the great sage, Patanjali, who composed the famous Yoga Sutras. Om yoga involves the chanting of Om, the primordial sound from which it is believed that the universe was created.

Yogapedia explains Om Yoga

According to the ancient Hindu and yogic texts, practicing Om yoga connects the yogi with the Supreme Being who controls prana, or life force. Chanting Om promotes peace and serenity.

The ideogram of Om is a representation of four levels of consciousness: the waking state, dreaming state, dreamless sleep and pure consciousness. "Mandukya Upanishad" explains that the letters a,u and m in Aum yoga represent three states of consciousness: waking state, dream state and deep sleep state. The fourth state is represented by the silence that exists between the repetitions of chanting Aum.
